Fearing that the chosen cat would make the wrong choice, StarClan decided to take matters into their own starry paws. After all, who was to say that a mere apprentice could handle the weight of the forest on his shoulders? The clan ancestors sent down a plage of Blackcough, not caring which cats it effected or who would succumb to the painful death. As long as the hostility between the clans was put off, they were glad.

Later on the effects of the plague were brutal. Many cats died, including everything from leaders, to deputies, to warriors, and of course apprentices. The clans, having no idea that the ones they trusted did all this, stepped back from their rivalries and tended to their own clans.

Now moons have passed and it seems yet another threat has made it into StarClan's vision. Random, confusing dreams are all the clans have to think that anything could ever be wrong. As lost and confused as ever, things are still tense, but not a single clan dares to engage in battles or war again and there is peace. Yet still, nothing lasts forever. The plage has gone, but now a blistering heat wave beats down on the clans. It is not an unfortunate happening, but another type of 'clearing event' by StarClan themselves. Of course, the clans do not know this.

A recent medicine cat meeting tells only that a few cats are to blame for his heat wave. If they disspear, the heat wave willl vanish along with them; however, StarClan being StarClan, they will not say exactly who and they have stepped back to watch the clans see and sort it out themselves. Maybe it is best to kill a few and save the rest of the forest, but to many it doesn't seem right.

Keep your thoughts to yourself, as it is the only thing 'they' cannot see.

But why is StarClan killing off random clan cats without a second thought? Are the dangers really so great that a few spare lives don't matter, or have the once-wise cats of StarClan found a new thrill in misusing their power? Or even worse, is there something more sinister behind it all? Even worse, there are possible hints that the starry clan has chosen cats to make the 'problem' few 'dissapear' from the forest in order to restore peace. Will you answer the call of your ancestors, no matter how wrong it seems, or will be be forced to look around every corner in fear that you are part of the 'problem?'
