"I'm sure they won't, thinking too hard is something I won't miss. It'll save me a boat load of headaches in the future." Vaugepaw stated happily. "By the way Lemonpaw, what are you doing out here anyway? This is hardly the right place to hide from others with that dandelion of a pelt you have you know. I can show you a better place if you want me to." he mewed, Vaguepaw was desperately bored right now after his 'philosopher's fit' had left him.

Blinking, Lemonpaw shrugged. There wasn’t any particular reason why she was here. It was just where she’d gone and obviously ended up. Should have kept greater track of her travels to, if she had she might not be spiky furred and wet right now. Her brothers might be alive to. Hm, their were plenty of reasons to watch where you stepped. Today wasn’t like that though, Lemonpaw had been wondering was all when the forest gave way to the wood bridge she hadn’t been surprised though. Her fur was used to taking in the days last light there, and had been ever since she’d earned her apprentice name. A long days work was behind her now, yet there were moons still to come of it. All of them as likely as another to find her here, enjoying solitude and resting.
So did she want to go with him? Not really. Him being around so far had caused Lemonpaw a ton of grief. Not only this but she was bruised from battle training, slightly hungry, cold, and her paws were sore. No no, it was best to stay here upon this perch like the birds she’d told Vaguepaw got killed. Suddenly every fur prickled with that idea, it hadn’t been a tasteful thought. Itching to get away, Lemonpaw leaped down and hit the planks below gracefully. Sure I’ll see it. She mewed over at a trot. This did have the potential to be interesting, what place could possibly be as yellow as her fur, accept perhaps the sun. Well, Lemonpaw had no interesting going there!

Vaguepaw shot off with the speed and agility of a WindClan cat without looking back to see if Lemonpaw was keeping up. Speed exhilarated him, it was like raw strength (which he had little of), a sense of power that even the most modest cats enjoyed. A feeling that you were different, that you were better then someone else, that you had talent. Power was something everyone with half a brain relished. But his yellow pelt was a difference he didn't enjoy quite that much. Brushing the thought off like shedding dust off his fur he skidded to a stop by a rare patch of gorse. This time of year it was flowering like crazy, blossoming yellow-orange flowers in a scented mass. Prey would be here scuffling up the flower petals and the rich scent would hide Vaguepaw's own. The perfect place to hunt for a yellow cat.

The toms tail flashed by her nose and that was all Lemonpaw saw before he was gone. So they were going to this place at a run? It couldn’t possibly be that interesting, of this she was sure. Maybe where ever it was could be worth a walk or perhaps Vaguepaw could have just described it to her? Or it could be for something else and he wanted to see if she could keep up. Or show off. An ear flicked, that was it, had to be. And thinking of him like that made her want to turn around and leave him. At the moment she was stealthily moving forward, paws half dragging over the ground.
Shadows were consuming the day, and giving way for twilight’s brief life. The dim made it easier to see beneath the sky, no squinting against the sun or bleached sky above. It was perfect and relaxed and not harsh. It was also cool from the low laying water. Lemonpaw enjoyed it until she stepped beneath the forest. Though the trees were quick to wrap the ground heat in there limbs, they make it darker then normal. The forests innards looked murky and totally unwelcoming. It all reminded Lemonpaw of Shadowclan from who’s side of the forest frogs could be heard at night and fireflies danced where they weren’t stuck in mud. Shaking off any strange feelings her muscles bunched and the she cat took off following Vaguepaw only by sent.
It wasn’t to much a winding trail and the forest was mostly covered in fallen leafs that were easy on her paws. Each step echoed with crackles and crunches much to Lemonpaws annoyance. A cat standing by the thunderpath would be able to here her! She took to a slower pace and move about the roots only a little off from the trail. Not long had the gone like this, gray orbs watchful for any bit of yellow, then did she round a sump and spot it. A real smile came across her maw. You totally blend in Vaguepaw! Although she considered it more of a bad thing, the words didn’t really sound like it.
Tail held high, Lemonpaw ventured in. With fragrant petals she was enclosed within the flowers in no time. Each was yellow or gold like and the total amount made any green beneath impossible to see. The colored soft bits drifted about, the whole area seemed brighter then the world beyond it as if the stems held the darkness out. One thing was true though, she really couldn’t see Vaguepaw. Sure the tricky tom would be leaping out at any moment, Lemonpaw sat down stubbornly and waited.

"Nice isn't it? I told you you would like it!" Vaguepaw exclaimed quite pleased with his own idea. The gorse flower's scent was a bit over powering but you got use to it after awhile. He twirled around once sending yellow and gold petals flying in a brilliant cascade. Some petals landed on his fur and immeditely blended in. He plunged deeper into the gorse tripping on twigs and flower petals until he reached the edge gasping for air from the heavy perfume. It was too much for him to stay there more then a few minutes at a time.

Hey, lets see if we can get someone with a rouge to join us!
Seeing the place where Vaguepaw camp out, Lemonpaw stood up again not sure she wasn’t going to be tricked or pounced on again. Moving about beneath the leaden stems, the bight apprentice wondered silently though petals fell where her tail brushed them. The showered down behind her as if chasing every pawstep. In warmer days bugs and bees had been here, the air felt like it missed there presence. She noted that despite being beautiful, the glen was still and cool air swirled about outside its shelter. This place feels like a memory of summer. She had to crawl to her stomach to break free of the last branches and let night wash over her.
Breathing deeply Lemonpaw padded around the outside of the patch in search of Vaguepaw. Moving between the border of petals and forest she crept about. Stars gleamed threw the darkened sky, to her back was the moon that would soon be fat enough for the clans gathering. It shown and cast long shadows, the flowers looked ashy under its light. She relaxed. This was a nice place, lovely and calm, and still clinging to summer as the fallen leafs drifted about. She liked it and had plans to come back. It could become a place for her to rest better away from others where she for once wouldn’t be found. Not only would it conceal her pelt she’d never be sented.
Under the trees again was the first time the she cat had noticed what a fragrant place it was that Vaguepaw had lead her. Now each breath was unscented and felt cool and moist. The weather of Leaf-fall was clearly in full swing. Beneath her steps the dirt was slightly muddy but soft on her pads and Lemonpaw enjoyed it. As she rounded another clump of flowers the barely discernible Vaguepaw could just be made out. Ambling up her voice was soft, Thanks. I’m heading home, Unlike some cats It was a long days training for my and I’m tired. Waiting to see if he’d be joining her, Lemonpaw scanned the dim.

OOC:Rouge? Like Isly's cat?
Vaguepaw took a deep gulping breath like a fish out of water. While those flowers were great for hiding and hunting, perfume wasn't his favorite thing. Goodness to know what StarClan was thinking putting a gorse bush in the middle of RiverClan. He shook pollen off his already yellow fur and sat down smiling widely. "Say Lemonpaw, I know we've just become apprentices and all but if you could choose your warrior name, what would it be?" Vaguepaw had often wondered this before. What if clan leaders gave an apprentices a warrior name he/she didn't like?

Seriously read to head back to her den, Lemonpaw glanced back at the tom cat disdainfully. Unlike some night owls, she preferred to be warm and asleep when the moon came up! Cats weren’t suppose to wonder around in the darkness like this, it was a situation too likely to get them hurt, and this was especially true for apprentices. Going over all the new rules the she cat in training abruptly stopped herself. When had she ever bothered to listen to any of this? It wasn’t like she’d ever let it dictate over her life. As usual after coming to such a conclusion, Lemonpaw felt like proving her point.
It wasn’t like Vaguepaw knew her inner workings but the bright furred apprentice stubbornly sat back on her haunches. Ears and head high, she looked quite defiant to all those rules she had no plans of following. The mighty demeanor didn’t last that long though. Honestly her gaze blurred and both lids drooped over it even as she sat. Lemonpaw really was ready to head home, her face gave off a trained look of boredom. It was a skill she had and often got her untroubled with older warriors. The look was wasted on her companion who, to her disdain, started mewing again.
Falling back into her old grumpy demeanor she slouched and let out a very long sigh. I have no idea. Whatever it is will sound terrible though. Pained she scanned Vaguepaws pelt and wondered if she looked like that all the time. Seriously though, what could I be? Lemonbright? Little wrinkles formed over the ridge of her nose. She looked totally disgusted with the idea. That is a terrible name. She stated mater of fact like. There was nothing that would ever make such a birth name sound warrior like at all. Trying to get the attention off herself, Lemonpaw shot the same question back, And what about you?

"Oh I don't know, I have one in mind but it's highly unlikely the clan leader will think of using it. After all, if all warriors could just choose their warrior names we would have some really strange names around. Not to mention names are suppose to reflect off how we are and that has to be judged by others." Vaguepaw mewed matter-of-factly. He had this discussion before with his fellow denmates back when he was a kit. The name he had considered was in some language called Finnish, goodness knows what that is.

Mirage listened to the cats from her hiding place and walked out from the rocks. Lemonpelt. she mewed for the others to hear. Lemonpelt suits you best because of your bright pelt. Or Lemonflight for the gracefulness of your movements. You just seem to glide around when you run or jump. she looked at Vaguepaw. As for you, you could be Vaguefur, for your pelt blend in with many things. She did some kind of forced smile, for she doesn't have time to stop and chat with others, but usually she will tease the others.

Vaguepaw didn't react to a strange cat speaking, "Nah, I don't like that, my fur is hardly vague. I couldn't blend into anything if I tried. What the heck are you doing here anyway? Is it some special hobby of yours to come into the open and talk to strangers?" he mused harshly.

Amidst the there extremely and totally interesting conversation, Lemonpaw suddenly found herself paying attention. Ears darting up, her body followed and the she cat was on her feet and looking dangerous. The soft feminine voice that spoke not only sounded absolutely nothing like Vaguepaw, it was off from all the Riverclan cats Lemonpaw knew. Rouge sent seeped from the silver white fur and turned bitter in her nose. Little white claws drew out beneath narrowed eyes. And just who do you think you are? Lemonpaw growled low, the fur along her shoulders would have been spiking had it not still been wet from her earlier dunking. She had no idea who this cat was but it had to be bad, a friendless rouge would never dare to just wonder on the clans territory! Or would they? Lemonpaw wasn’t sure, she’d been an apprentice for about a week and a half know but there had to be some reason why she’d been patrolling. Staring Mirage down, Lemonpaw guessed her to be dangerous and took a sidestep in front of Vaguepaw.

Mirage hissed at Lemonpaw. Don't you dare try to scare me apprentice! I am older and more experienced as a warrior than you! she kept her claws sheathed and her ringed tail twitched furiously. She looked at Vaguepaw. Get your friend to calm down! I am not afraid to attack my former clan's enemy! she sat down, her tail still twitching in annoyance at the RiverClan apprentice.

"Don't tell me what to do." Vaguepaw snarled. He didn't like outsiders, outsiders killed his parents, both of them. "Get out of here, you don't belong here. And we definetly won't take orders from someone like you." he hissed. Deep rage sunk into his body, he was unaccostumed to being angry in general and was shocked by the rush of fury

Bristling next to her, Lemonpaw positioned herself side by side with Vaguepaw. It looked like there was more to thought in him after all. Based on there previous conversation, all that migrating, she would have pegged him to be the first to run. Not so, his mew was more angry then hers! It had more emotion behind it too. Well. She might not be able to match that, but no one beat Lemonpaw when it came to being mean! Like she’d been born with a frown on her face, Lemonpaw was totally accustomed to going up against snarling cats. Most of those times were things she’d pushed into happening though. This was late at night and they were alone. Yet none of those logical things brushed even the farthest reaches of the she cats mind. And because they weren’t there absolutely nothing was inclining Lemonpaw to back down or be cautious.
As a warrior! Ha. Your just some flee bitten rouge. Leaving her lips drawn back in a snarl after the sentence, she glared over her fangs. Even if you were a warrior, your not one now. You’d be what Riverclan calls a traitor! Go away! Despite the harsh words, the bright little cats voice still sounded very young. It was pretty clear this was unproven talk, but Lemonpaw was good at it. She looked like she meant every word even if she wasn’t sure of the gravity behind them.
