The Windclan medicine cat makes his nest here, along with an apprentice and any patients needing extra care, if present. The herbs are stored in a rock near the back of the den, where the elements can't spoil them.

Rushinghawk padded into the medicine cats' den. This was the place to go when someone was injured...right? Charredstar had told him to go up ahead(since he was the fastest runner at the current time) and alert the medicine cat of injured cats on the way. He of course was not injured, well, actually he did have a tummy achea....but, that was mostly because lack of food. That's right! He still hadn't had anything to eat! I could sure go for a rabbit right about now.. The tom thought as he started to daydream about one. He shook his head quickly and focused on the task at hand.
Blinking momently, the dark tabby scented the air, but couldn't find any medicine cat. He wondered where they went! He knew Featherpaw should be here...but maybe she was out gathering herbs or something...
Deciding to just go ahead and wait for her here, the tom padded in and looked at all the rows of herbs gathered along the walls and shelves. woah...so many different herbs. He thought as he sniffed each one out curiously. His tail held high as he tried to identify some...he knew he knew some! Or...maybe one. What was the one to treat belly-achea? Poppy-seeds? Uhh...
While Rushinghawk was skiming through the piles, he didn't notice a cat coming in just behind him.

Featherpaw came back into camp with a jaw full of a mixture of herbs. She walked past the freshkill pile, knowing she shouldnt eat just yet, not matter how hungry she was. Hunger was something her body should get used to, leafbare was coming. It couldn't hurt... She knew a clan could not go on with out their medicine cat.
Featherpaw picked up a rabbit and tried to take both it and the herbs with her but it wasn't working. Herbs first... she grabbed the herbs in a neat clump
Featherpaw walked into her and Nightsong's den and was about to go to her herb supply when she noticed someone was already there.
"Runninghawk?" She asked, shocked, he was awful close to the death berries they stored hidden the the cracks. Just in case.
"What's going on? Are you okay?"

Jumping abit, Rushinghawk turned around, his eyes wide in surprise at the sudden outburst of Featherpaw.
He let out a shaky breath and meowed, "oh, it's just you...Featherpaw..." thought it was another badger there for a second... He thought in his mind. "oh, uh, no not me. I'm fine..." He replied after his fur laid flat, and he moved away from the herbs, a smile appearing on his broad face. "It's just that, Charredstar and Ridgepaw got alittle beat up; you see..there was this badger...and well..." He paused to think of the words to say, "It almost ate our guts, but good thing we killed it right?" He meowed, putting on a fake smile, while his eyes showed nervousness, just thinking about that dead badger gave him goosebumps!
His tail flicked as he waited for the she-cat to reply. He wondered where Nightsong was; perhaps out collecting herbs? It already looks like Featherpaw did. SHe was such a responsible little she-cat; atleast to Rushinghawk. Always nice to have those kind of apprentices around every now and again.... Poor Ridgepaw wasn't like her though....aw well, cats with different personalities were the ones that kept the clan strong he supposed. Or was it the other way around? Everyone the same...? Nevermind, he was giving himself a headachea, was their a herb for headaches?

Charredstar padded- no, limped in behind Rushinghawk. "Where is Nightsong?" He growled collapsing on one of the fern beds. He looked around the den another moment, and then his eyes came to rest on Featherpaw. "You know how to treat most things by now, right? I think ive got something wrong with my ribs here, and Ridgepaw isn't far behind, he needs immediate attention as well." Charredstar's voice was heavy with tiredness, but what was even stranger was the soft tone he was using. He was always partial to apprentices, but this was something not common at all.

Featherpaw`s eyes widened when Charredstar walked into the den. He looked in bad shape. She immediately got to work. She ran to her supplies and grabbed a poppy seed.
"This will ease the pain a little. I need to know were it hurts. You cant be all numb." She mewed. "Nightsong is out collecting herbs. I have no idea when she'll be back but I'll do all I can."
She placed the poppy seed beside him on a large leaf, waiting for him to lap it up. "Runninghawk!" She mewed. "Get me some cobwebs from over there." She pointed her tail to the corner of the den. "Bring a fair amount, also bring me more poppy seeds and chamomile please."
Even though she was acting calm, Featherpaw was the opposite inside, She was really panicked and confused, hopping she could help as much as she could before Nightsong got back.
"Show me were it hurts with your ribs."

Rushinghawk stood by as Charredstar came limping in. Poor old tom. He thought helplessly to his leader, his ears twitching as he watched as Featherpaw started getting to work.
He stared at her with a confused slash blank face as she told him to go get some herbs. "Uhhh, cham-o..what?" he asked, it came out as a kit-like mew, which isn't new to this tom, when he got confused or nevous, that was the kind of voice he always started out with.
Not wating for a responce, since he obviously knew what cobweb, and poppyseeds were, he got those right away for the she-cat.
Grabbing up a nice big blob of the cobweb in his mouth, the tom hobbled back over to where Featherpaw sat and laid them beside her. He turned around, unknowingly the bundle of cobwebs sticking to his tail that he had oh so accidentally brushed against the cob-webs.
He hurried off to get the poppy-seeds, carrying the cob-webs on tail. He came back with the seeds carefuly placed in his mouth. He spit them out next to Featherpaw, expecting to see the cob-web right there with it. "Where'd the cob-web go..?" He asked himself in a skeptical, Rushinghawk clue-less, tone. He swung his head around and tried to figure out where he had laid it down...

The hare dangled limp from his jaws, above twin yellow orbs were silted in pain. Any cat from a mile off could tell this tom was in bad shape. Each step sent the poor killed creature flinging forward and banging back against his legs. By now he’d tilted his head so that it hit against his good leg but it was slow work and were it kept hitting he was getting sore. Honestly though, this was the least of Ridgepaw’s worries. Beneath him his paws left like lead and scraped against the dirt. He was exhausted not only from the long walk both ways, but from the badger he’d helped kill while out there. Not a good day. Behind his eyes, Ridgepaws mind was muddled. Sharp harsh pangs were delivered from his shoulder every few steps and it constantly just hurt with movement. Luckily I’m bleeding again though. It was true, he could feel slick red blood catching between his toes from and earlier rabbit bite made worse by the fight.
Ahead some hazy bramble formed up into a bushy wall. finaly Today had been long and Ridgepaw wanted nothing more then to just find his den and curl up, not even his stomach growled anymore. Tail dragging behind him, and sun beating his back, Ridgepaw finally retreated amongst the shadows of the thorn entrance. Starclan must be angry I ate that thrush. His head drooped and let the prey rest against the ground for several moments. His limbs swayed when the tom realized he’d just been standing there unmoving. Long ears half blocked his vision as he tried to rally up any last bits of strength remaining. With staggering steps he made it fully back into camp and continued on in the direction of his den.
Off to his left the fern entrance opened up, inside were a frenzied looking Featherpaw and Rushinghawk. He squinted, something was clinging like a bur to the brown tabby warriors tail. Feeling sure he would only like the warrior less if he found out, Ridgepaw scanned for Charredstar. There! On his side lay the leader looking as bone dead as Ridgepaw felt. Suddenly his thoughts back on the Moore land became clear. So there charcoal leader hadn’t escaped uninjured.
Limping, the tabby brown apprentice changed coarse and made for the medicine cats den himself. It was slow going and he eventually just dropped the hare at the entrance. Swirls of unknown plant sent drifted about. Making it a few more steps within a sudden wave of nausea and dizziness fell over him. Tripping over his paws, Ridgepaw fell to the right and landed completely on his injured muscles. Eyes flashed wide and he yowled.

(>_<)
The scent of fresh-kill filled the she-cat's nostrils. She was just passing the fresh-kill pile, ready to teach her apprentice something new. But what? Maybe a good remedy for Green-Cough. Leaf-bare is coming up soon, and she will need to know. The scent of many cats, and blood hit the she-cat. It was coming from her den. Quickening her pace, Nightsong arrived at her den in moments. She looked around at the injured cats, and then at her Leader, Charredstar. "What happened?" She asked as she began to grab different herbs to mix. "Featherpaw gather the poppy seeds. What have you done so far to help them? and why didn't you fetch me?" She meowed, almost in a rush. She probably sounded angry, or even disappointed. She would have to apologize later, when she could explain her actions.

"We ran into a badger on the territory while hunting. It was a long fight, and Featherpaw here was doing a fine job of treating us in your absence. I have a bad ache in my side here, but I think Ridgepaw requires more immediate attention." Charredstar explained to a very flustered Nightsong. It was apparent from his tone that he was holding back the fact he was in pain, but he would rather Ridgepaw was looked after first; the young apprentice had fought bravely.

Featherpaw froze at her mentor's harsh words and tones. "I- I haven't had the chance to do much. You returned so soon. I was just asking Charredstar where in his ribs it hurt, and I was getting some chamomile and poppy seeds, i was also getting cob webs to help stop the bleeding." She mewed in a rush. Before she let Nightsong say anything she rushed over to Ridgepaw checking were the blood was coming from and where it looked most sore. His entire right side was in pain and was injured deeply.
She sent a prayer to Starclan that Ridgepaw and Charredstar were going to be okay. Featherpaw, eyes wild, ran to grab the cobweb off of Rushinghawk's tail, brushing her pelt against his for a moment by accident. This sent shivers down her back for some reason and she just ignored them. Maybe it was a chill. She ran to grab some more and created a neat pile near Ridgepaw, ready to get to work. Featherpaw licked his ears, calming him before feeding him a poppy seed to ease the pain slightly.

Rushinghawk watched as Ridgepaw came in...or well, almost into the medicine cats' den. The poor apprentice had fallen right down before even reaching one of the fern beds!
Just after, Nightsong, had come in. He blinked and listened to the she-cat ask Featherpaw what she had done. Done? She had done alot actually. He was surprised Featherpaw knew what to do! He sure hadn't... He still didn't know what that one herb was...chamomile, did she say?
But since Nightsong was here, maybe he could do something else to help? Since he was...er, actually the one who caused the badger to start attacking. Stupid rabbit...why had it led me right to a badger? Rushinghawk wondered breifly as he felt Featherpaw brush up againist his fur as she took something off his tail. He blinked, abit surprised, but then realized that it was the cobwebs.
oops... He thought as his tail twitched in embarssment. He moved out of the way so that both medicine cats could work properly on the injured cats. He hesitated before asking, "What can I do to help?" He looked to Nightsong and then to Featherpaw patintly, not wanting to mess up the she-cats' work, he had already done enough damage as it is...

As Nightsong observed her apprentice, thoughts began to race through her head. She was still very unconfident that she would be a good mentor, and worried if she did the right thing taking Featherpaw as her apprentice. A voice interupted these thoughts. Rushinghawk's. "What can I do to help?"
"If you've been taken care of, get out of my den." She meowed, a hint of venom in her voice. She didn't mean it harshly, yet lack of sleep was making her grouchy. She would have to apologise once again. Turning to Featherpaw, the she-cat began to give orders. "I want you to check over Charredstar. Find out where his wounds are most sever. I will take care of Ridgepaw."
Grabbing a load of cobwebs and other herbs, Nightsong squeezed through cats to get to the injured apprentice. She grabbed his scruff and picked him up, his weight making her neck ache. Laying him in a nest, she began to get to work on cleaning up the blood soaking his pelt.

Momentarily dangling and returning to his senses, Ridgepaw’s ears flattened. Ouch. He hadn’t expected getting sick and dizzy all at once, and he defiantly had not suspected his bruised would hurt so much. The burst of pain was quite shocking and for several moments the striped tom lay motionlessly curved over the earth, face scrunched up as he fought back. Eventually as the flurry of cats increased and changed about him, Ridgepaw relaxed and readied to get back up with what pride he had left. That just happened to be when Nightsong propelled him up and ruined all chances of escaping with some dignity.
Struggling to be put down, Ridgepaw was rather small and, with a burning displeasure, let down only when Nightsong cared to place him in one of the moss nests. Immediately the medicine cat launched into work much to the tom’s discomfort. I’m fine Nightsong, just deal with Charredstar. Never a cat of much grace with words, Ridgepaw managed to sound polite. He knew there was no way to escape attention yet his personal instinct refused to be waited on while looking so weak. Despite all sound judgment, all Ridgepaw could think of was getting out of there. Quickly wiggling away, he hobbled atop his paws again and attempted to scoot off. Why did I ever think to come in here?

Rushinghawk jumped slightly at the tone of the medicine cat's voice; but obeyed her command. "Okay then." he meowed quickly, his voice squeaking abit as he glanced at Charredstar and then Ridgepaw. "get well soon." He added, tail swishing as he trotted out of the den. His fur lied flater as he was out of ear shot of the crowded den. Nightsong sure is a tough she-cat. He thought as he padded to the side of the camp wall and relaxed.
