(Grats Sly!)
A rush of adrenaline began to fill the she-cats veins as the young tom attempted to sneak away. She watched him for a moment, wondering how far he would get. Why must they be so...."brave". Her ears were roaring now, the blood circulating from her quick heartbeat. "Get. back. Here. Now." She growled, wondering how "brave" this tom would be, disobeying a Medicine Cat. Especially with Charredstar here. Her ears were perked high, catching every whisper, every chirp. A slight breeze hit her though a small hole in her den. I need to get a Warrior to deal with that...

Every step sent fire ragging between each fiber of muscle. Ridgepaw was glad his face was turned from them all, he winced badly whenever the injured half of himself pressed against the ground. Beads of pain rolled from his pelt, his jaws parted with quick gasps. It must have hardened up even from that momentary still. On the plains he’d been at lest able to make it home while carrying his catch. Making it about half way, all his body seared for him to stop and made difficult for him to recognize Nightsong.
No, her growling voice was lost on him. Sagging as he stood from exhaustion and fatigue, head bent as he scanned the ground unseeing. There was no fight left, normally he’d be furious to let anyone ever see him like this. Even being angry now the bit behind it was lacking and waning. Though he’d think worse of it later, Ridgepaw struggled and sat. His hurt rejected twisting around to face her but it was evident that an attempt was made before he froze up. Suddenly the tom was quite envious for Charredstars poppy seeds. It felt like he couldn’t do anything, as if time had leaped forward and left him an elder. Ok Nightsong. I’m not even sure I can get back. It was a shameful thing to admit. Not because it was right in front of his leader, but what if it had happened while alone in the wild? Obviously he’d never be tough enough to live on his own.

Charredstar ate one of the three poppyseeds sitting in front of him with a delicate rasp of his tounge. "My pain isn't nearly as great as Ridgepaw's. He is to eat these two poppyseeds, on my orders, unless it will hurt him to do so." Charredstar rasped; talking more to Nightsong then the struggling apprentice. "Also, as soon as he is healed, I will be assigning him and Anguishedpaw a mentor." Charredstar said with pride.

Having been carried to camp by Rushinghawk, she wasn't tired and there was nothing to keep her mind off of her throbbing foot. She limped toward the medicine cat's den, where she hoped someone would be able to at least give her something for the pain.
These clan cats are smart, she thought as she limped having a medicine cat that doesn't have to fight, that way they don't risk dying or getting injured themselves. My people weren't very intelligent. She forced herself to stop thinking about that and then walked closer to the den.
"Ummm, Nightsong is it? Yeah I'm Anguishedpaw and I think I twisted my ankle," she said limping into the den. She couldn't walk before but she had regained enough strength to walk on three legs. She looked around her and couldn't help but gasp at the forms of Charredstar and Ridgepaw lying about getting attention of their own. She hoped that neither of them were permanently injured from that badger. Such an awful beast.
She dropped down, careful of her paw and decided not to bother them. Ridgepaw and Charredstar were in pretty bad shape...
