Gender: She-cat
Moons: 06
Rank: Apprentice
Clan/Land: Windclan
Description:
The she-cat’s appearance is one that clashes gravely with her name. One would think that a cat named Anguish would have to be ugly or at least severely handicapped to be called such. Quite the opposite, Anguish’s beauty and grace are what bring her the anguish her name foretells, for she is a cat that is much envied for her appearance.Picture:
She doesn’t agree with the popular opinion…she believes she is ugly, too beautiful to be even considered beautiful. Her fur is so brightly gold-red that it hurts the eyes to look at it for long and the colors seem surreal. Her eyes are such a wonderful mixture of colors that they look muddled and boring, like a water painting that ran. Her fur is so sleek and shiny that it appears to be greased and dirty, and her teeth are such a pearly white that the slightest speck of an impurity can make her entire mouth seem grey.
She is too perfectly built as well. Her muscles are developed but not so much that she appears masculine and she is long and slender. Fat does not stick to her ribs, a curse in the long winter months. Her feet are small and dainty; she falls frequently because her feet are too small to support her weight. She is not tall, but in reality quite short. She can never get pregnant because she would be unable to have the kits because she is too slender. In essence she was made too perfectly.
History // Past:
Born as the only child of a noble she was treated as a future monarch. Her beauty was legendary and few dared to look at her, believing her to be the daughter of a god and goddess. After all, in her culture, the royals were descended from heavenly beings and nobles were usually the descendents of these descendents.Personality:
Her name at home was Ankazukily which meant “beautiful sun” in her native tongue. In the tongue of the conquered natives of the land Ankazukily meant “anguished soul” or “tormented beauty”. Her parents had any native that brought up this fact executed by hanging.
Anguishedpaw (henceforth called Ankazukily) grew up spoilt. On her three moon birthday she received her very first toy; a young native named Arcalo or bound. Arcarlo was her slave and hers to do as she pleased to him. When she was four moons she had Arcarlo released for the hunters and laughed to her when they brought back his still beating heart.
After the death of Arcalo her mother praised her for weeks. She called her daughter for the first time and actually spoke to her and pretended at least to actually like her. Ankzukily loved the attention but slowly became more and more withdrawn. She dreamt of the heart and the anguish her name meant. She had nightmares, she fretted about things that had never bothered her before. She began to sleep walk and nearly dropped off a cliff. In essence she was falling apart and it bothered her. So she took to exploring the lands surrounding the clan and learning all she could about it.
For her fifth moon birthday Ankazukily discovered something crucial, the pathway from the kingdom to the Outer World. She had lived within a sheltered forest since she was an infant and had never even known about the Outer World. She was discovered, scolded, and informed that is she ever went there again she would be locked in the dungeon.
Needless to say Ankazukily disobeyed and walked outside where she found herself in the middle of a land she had never before seen, or even learned about. After she got acquainted with her surroundings she went to find servants. There she got a nasty surprise and was captured and then told that she was now an apprentice of Windclan, whatever that meant... She was also told that the name Ankazukily was not acceptable and to change it to something else. She chose the name Anguishedpaw.
Anguishedpaw is not truly in a lot of Anguish, certainly she is not perfectly happy. After all, it can’t be easy finding yourself alone in the world with no family or friends and being unable to hunt, fight, or be a functioning member of society.Role Playing Example:
Anguish was spoiled as a child and is yet unable to actually hunt or fight. She never had to, her body guards and personal hunters attended to her needs and she was raised never needing to lift a claw to help herself.
Now she has been cast rather abruptly into the world of cats that do fight, of cats that have no choice but to protect themselves.
Anguishedpaw has never seen some of the things all cats have grown up with. Monsters that stalk the Thunderpath are new and different to her. She fears them but curiosity usually can quell her fear. Dogs are unknown creatures and beasts of horror. She hates dogs and fears them move even than the monsters. Fighting is something she wishes that she didn’t have to learn because she is afraid that if she does she will be something despicable.
Anguishedpaw feels that she needs something, or someone to protect her. Still she is uncertain that she will ever find someone to love her, after all, who would want a strange little she-cat with beauty so precise she appeared ugly?
Not only does Anguishedpaw have not skills or talents in fighting or hunting she is cruel. She likes to see suffering, to see pain, and death simply enchants her. Sometimes she even pretends that she is Lady Ankazukily again and the nobleman’s only daughter who can sentence any cat to death that she doesn’t like.
But perhaps this one cruelty is not so big, and perhaps she can not help it. After all, violence is all she really knows.
Her golden pelted skin stood out against the bleak, drab brown of the forest behind her. The utterly terrified fae was staring at some nameless horror in wide-eyed fear. The scent was surrounding her in thick, suffocating waves and could be smelt by all who came with in a few yards of her. Her mouth was open in a soundless shriek as the monster advanced upon her. Her pearly fangs glistened in the dying sun light and the blood of fresh-kill dotted them.Theme Song:
Suddenly she stopped screaming, or at least she stopped attempting to scream as to be a scream sound must be produced, and looked at the beast in front of her. The stench of rotting meat surrounded its black mouth and its glistening nose was prodding her. She shrunk down to the size of a kitten and let the huge beast smell her entire, fragile body over.
Suddenly she heard the crack of a twig and winced. The dog’s ears pricked and then slowly it turned to amble away. She whipped around, claws fully extended and teeth barred for attack. A scent drifted toward her but she paid it no mind. The panic that had been threatening to suffocate her returned full force and then some, for a threat in the dark and unseen is greater than one seen and able to be fought.
Who could guess what the innocent looking branches concealed…
