So i was just thinking, and I realized we need something to either up the activity, up the sign ups, or both! We have a handful of active members, and a handful of semi-active members, and the rest are inactive. I would like to have at least 20 members on daily, and I would like to see us getting more members quicker! (Remember there are prizes for advertising!) So I wanted to know if anyone had any competition suggestions, or anything else to help up our activity, etc!

Heres a few ideas I just came up with:
Site-wide Monthly/weekly newsletter/paper
Some new advertisement to spike peoples interest
Do more affiliation (My fault!)
Maybe new skin (Contest?)

What if, to keep the fresh look going, Forbidden had two - three high class skins to be our defaults? Then the Four admin with that power could go in and randomly change them whenever they felt like it. We would always have a new look going and guest might come back here some time and think its another site and give it another look over. Either way, it'd be nice to see something new randomly and would catch ppls attention. If we did that the skins would need to be different form one another though.

Hmmm, something to up the site activity?
hmmm, I do believe we could have some more things added to the side tables. -points to left- Like, we could also have a character of the month, along with a thread of the month, and we can add the weather and such. =)
I do like what Flinteh's saying; have skin changes every once and awhile. =P
another thing we could do is have more role-playings going on! We only have some, and for example, in Thunderclan, we haven't had much rping going on there....the camp thread is basically frozen still! xD

To get posting up the leaders could post patrols cats are supposed to go on and in what areas they'll be in. They could also maybe suggest something interesting happen in the patrol like:
Marsh patrol:
Embergaze, Reedpaw, Nightwing
-Come across a snake while patrolling
And then those cats could do with that as they will. But it would require the leaders activity or perhaps the admin could post it?
It would also help if cats took there apprentices out. e.e
I mean to be staring a thread soon for that kind of thing as soon as I'm freed up with Fly.
Things like that might increas posting. Also i like Islys idea. Could we put her stuff up on the right side possibly? Or we could make a header?

The patrol thing sounds good, but I think it should be the deputy who distributes cats to assigned patrols and then maybe the leader can say the patrol comes across whatever. Maybe something else we coulda add is a news table, that way if someone is on vacation or what-not they don't have to read through 50 pages to catch up, instead they can ready the table.

its a lot to organize but on my long weekend ill see if i can add that isly (the MotM, CotM, etc.)
thats a good idea flint, but its the deputies job in the clans, so the deputy should do it.
I may have a skin contest or something and whichever, say 3, are chosen as the top favorites will be used as our skins and anyone who has the power to can change them at any time.
I will try to get some newsletter/paper going, i like the idea but i need advice, im thinking monthly since weekly would be a bit hard, but any suggestions on the idea are appreciated. Im thinking we could have a board for submissions and someone (whoever is assigned) could put it together in, say, a pdf file so it looks like a newspaper? ill test this out on my long weekend!
Do those things sound ok?

I REALLY like the patrol idea. ;D
It would keep each clan's patrols organized and not all scrambled up. =3 It can be like a gathering sort of thing, I mean, just for the dates and all, like dawn patrol on the 25th, moon-high patrol on 29th. xD
idk, but yah.
The deputys should be the ones to assign them, yes, I agree on that. =D and leaders put the event that the patrol comes across. ^.^ Brillient!
Like said, we need to reamp the side tables, get it lookin spunky and nice! loll we could have the patrol links listed below each clan! Also, we could have the cat count under the clan over there, plus the bans for them....and maybe we could have a cat of the month for EACH clan! I mean, I don't think that's been done before(atleast not on any site I've been on lol) and it can be done monthy, the voting. =p
I could help organize the table, if Fire want it done of course. =)
EDIT: ahhh, a newspaper flyer? I could help make it. -shrug- shouldn't be TOO hard. lol -pats corel paintshop- the 3 skins sounds cool too.
ehhh, what else? hmm

I've had this idea for a while but for some reason never put it out there till now. You know the side bars with the pictures of each cat? Well, I was thinking you could put a link to either the BIO of that cat, or the profile of the person RPing them.
I know I'm not staff and i don't feel I belong in this post but...
I like the idea for patrols. That way people can make patrols and have things actually happen.
I like the news paper idea. I was on a site once that did that. If you send it out in the email people might come back to the site, sometimes people loose links or forget about joining a site. If you do this, they might join again if you have an interesting newsletter with plot lines and how far along you are. post on the newsletter who one the member of the month and who's now nominated ect.

Everyone is welcome! Its not like were the only ones with good ideas.
Hey this next one is slightly off topic but what if we finally got a Bio mod? That has a bit to do with site improvements I think. Right now all the admin do it whenever they think about it or someone requests it but their is no real system.
Forbidden would be better if one person had the job of managing that. They would be able to keep track of what bios were getting old and what bios needed to be deleted from the abandoned board. It would also make it so the admin can be doing other things like upping activity.
Also, we'd have another reason to send out an announcement to attract our none active members back!

What I like to do With my sites is Keep the members on their toes. You know make things realistic. Like Storms rolling in and What not.. Cause it would be nice to know What the weather is and what not. And maybe have like a Weekly News cast telling us what The weather is going to be for the next week or something. Cause storms can be very interesting. And it allows the cats to Play it out like If they want to get caught in a wind storm or something And its a way for people to Show us that not all cats are invicible cause obviously injuries would happen and what not.

Ok i see a lot of great ideas, and I would start working on the except that my computers charging chord is broken and It has no battery, so for the time being im using my moms computer, and I do not want to be on it to long. So if anyone wants to try to help out with anything feel free to but do it on a test site! Dont make any actual changes to this site, mk?
