Description:
Lyon's breed is the Abyssinian cat. Just as his breed foretold his build is slim and lithe. Or perhaps in Lyon's case just plain skinny. He doesn't look starved with ribs showing but there is a certain air about him that makes one think that he should eat more. His fur has no undercoat, just a soft over coat. It is short and lies flat against his body at a slight angle. His fur is light shade of lilac mixed with the faintest dusting of gray. His fur fades into a dusty white on his chest and darkens into a deep lilac on his back and the back of his ears. His tail is slightly shorter the the average tail by an inch or two so it never drags on the ground but is long enough to help him with balance. Lyon's large eyes are a cold copper color that doesn't contrast to his fur as much as you'd think. Due to certain...issues with his family Lyon isn't in the best shape of his life either. Stress and past injuries have caused him to have cronic pain. He doesn't have a very strong build, he's not an outdoorsy type anyway. His main advantage in battle is his agility and coordination. His short fur is a disaster in winter time, it's not very dark in color either so it doesn't gather much heat. His eyes are more accostumed to seeing in the dark then in the blinding morning light so he is semi nocturnal.Picture: www.dkimages.com/discover/previews/922/45007262.JPG
History // Past:
::Kitten's First Sight::Personality:
Lyon was born in the fall, among the yellow leaves that matched his eyes. It was chilly that day and his short fur didn't help much. The first world he's known was a dark but comfortable den among the roots of a maple tree. During the first few moons of his life, he never ran out of toys. The cool autumn yielded golden and red leaves that were curiously good play things for kittens. But this bliss wouldn't last for long. When he was three moons old his mother died of a disease. Lyon has no memory of her, since the day he was born Mother never came out of the den. It was dark in there so he never knew what she looked like. Just her scent, and her voice. And even those have faded from his mind. He had forgotten she had ever even been in existence. In fact for quite sometime in his young life he had lived in the darkness. His eyes becoming accostumed to the dim light, but he had to go outside eventually or else his eye sight would be ruined. As a kitten Lyon hated going outside, his fur was short and Outside was cold. Nor was he an outdoor junkie.
::Father's Harshness::
At the death of his Mother, Father must've gone mad. Lyon had never asked but Mother must have meant the world to Father. From then on Father had drilled Lyon on and on trying to improve his physical prowess. Bad idea, Lyon didn't like going outside, or exersizing in general. The only thing he had going for him was his lightning quick reflexes. But in exchange for multiple gashes, cuts, bruises, and a few mental scars, Lyon was drilled into the art of fighting. He will never master it but he did get quite good. Good enough to hold his own against Father. During all his knowing moons, Lyon had hated it. The fighting, the endless scorn, the only thing that kept him from having a nervous breakdown was the small thought that "maybe, just maybe it's because I'm not good enough", it was a feeble barrier that didn't completely quash the subtle hate he felt, but it held it back. But then Father died. He wasn't killed in some honorable death. He didn't go down with a fight. He didn't do any of the harsh things he had screamed into Lyon's ears all of his life. Father suicided. Fell on his own accord. Lyon's own mind snapped then. He felt betrayed. How dare some cat torture him his entire life. Force him far past his physical and mental limits. Pound into his mind that physical power was everything. And then SUICIDE?! Dark thoughts wove their way into Lyon's mind. No more sanity in our kind. That day forth Lyon changed...too far to ever turn back
::Friendship's Past::
Lyon was introduced to Cole, Serenity, and Ada early in his life. Their parents have been companions during a trying time so it was only natural for them to introduce their kits. As a kitten Lyon was shy and was usually the quiet one in the bunch, there were a few incidents where he felt a light, playful envy at his playmates, they could do so many things he couldn't. As kittens they spent their time memorizing their territory, the territory around RiverClan to be exact. It was exciting because they had no parent supervision, Mother and Father have lived there forever and have never seen a fox or badger. Lyon never knew what overprotective parents were like, they were allowed to grow on their own and experiment. Lyon had often stood at the river banks leaning over the river wondering what would happen if he fell in. He'd freeze to death of course with that short pelt of his. It never crossed his mind what he would do when he was old enough to live apart from his parents. The day when he could leave and not have to go back to the den beneath the trees. After Father changed he desperately wished he had. Lyon started spending lapses of time alone, away from everyone, friend and foe alike. It was a brief escape from Father's harsh words
::Written Fate::
Lyon will die. Not at the claws of an enemy. Not on his own accord. But by the claws of his friends. A sympathetic gesture, from the cats who know him best. It was best to end it for his own good.
::Dual Phases::Role Playing Example:
Lyon's unsteady mind has two faces. One is so much like the old Lyon, the way he use to be. That to someone who has seen both faces, it was such an uncanny likeness that it hurt. The second face, the new face...was different, but still a part of him. The change could happen surprisingly fast, Lyon who has a brand new side of his personality isn't aware of it. It's his own thoughts that control his actions
::Face One::
Lyon's a calm composed cat who's sympathetic and has an air of covered unease. He is often seen hesitating and taking his sweet time in making important choices. His self confidence is on the low side from the verbal abuse Father sometimes throws his way. He has a stoic but open minded nature when his friends want to talk about something personal or ask advice from him. Lyon's more of a mental genius then a physical one. He can whittle down any situation and make it seem ridiculously easy. He is kind and generous and also very easily embarassed. Lyon enjoys the company of his friends but will leave them alone on request. He is also a surprisingly good liar
::Second Face::
Lyon's face is usually in a calm expression just like he use to be but with a stiff cold echo in the background. His personality has flattened itself into a harsh, sarcastic replication of it's old self. He is straight forward and blunt. Void of any morale values. With the heavy burden of stress on his mind in this phase, Lyon usually suffers from chronic pain more often. His talk becomes more aggressive and mordant, lacking any sense of courtesy. He also looses any sense of lying, where as the previous Lyon was quite a good liar. The aura around him is more sinister as his personality has become. He doesn't hesitate to use his claws anymore usually with his harsh sarcasm racking his opponent before ending their life. Lyon prefers to be alone but will hide it for reasons unknown
A skinny lilac cat walked swiftly alone a small stream. He needed sometime alone from those meddlesome cats who wouldn't stop questioning him. Some friends they were. He was snapped out of his thoughts by a racking pain. His jaw tightened and he tensed trying to block out the pain until it passed. His dark sinister thoughts turned into fustration that then faded away like morning light. His harsh nature melted too. His friends wanted what was best for him. Annoying or not it was one of those things that made life worth living for.Theme Song: Boulevard of Broken Dreams
