Description:

Jackalkit has pale, and very clear green eyes. He resembles a Abyssinian and has ruddy,almost a cinnamon color to it. Jackalkit has a black stripe that starts as at the top of his forehead, all the way to the tip of his tail . He also has white around and on his muzzle,and a cream color around his eyes. His ears are quite big,signaling that he will probably have very excellent hearing. Jackalkit is the smaller kit,if compared to his brother,Coyotekit,but is larger than Wolfkit,his other brother. Jackalkit is built for adventure! He will grow to be quite muscular, but still quite wiry,though he is quite scrawny at this age. Jackalkit always seems to has a proud air with each step he takes. From nose to tail-tip, he is about 6 to 10 inches long. Jackalkit weighs about 13 ounces to 1 pound.

Jackalkit has been through a lot for such a young kit. His mother abandoned him,and his brothers, Coyotekit, and Wolfkit at the age of thirteen sunrises at the border of Shadowclan territory. Jackalkit`s, Coyotekit`s ,and Wolfkit`s father had left them when their mother was pregnant with them.Jackalkit spent the night tossing and turning with an endless nightmare. He dreamed that he was on a grassy plain,surrounded by grass for miles around,and that he had started to run. Only,in this dream,he wasn`t moving. Suddenly,the grass disappeared,leaving an empty black abyss,to swallow him up. Down he went,until he thought that he would never see the stars ever again. Then the dream changed. He was fully grown,and there was a pale gray tabby she-cat. Jackalkit had assumed that it was his mother,until he noticed that this cat was glowing,glowing like he`d never seen before. Her fur glowed like it was coated with starlight. Frightened, he put his head between his paws. Then he felt her nose touch his ear. She said to him," Don`t be afraid. I`m here to help you,and your brothers. My name is Fawnshine. I will guide you for many moons from now on." And with that the she-cat turned a padded away.

Jackalkit awoke to find Coyotekit and Wolfkit nudging him with his paw. Coyotekit and Wolfkit told him to get,and help him find some food. Jackalkit agreed,and followed him.while they were walking, Jackalkit had stopped to sniff the air and had caught a cat scent. He couldn`t recognize the scent. Then the bushes out to the right started to shake. Then a grayish light brown she-cat emerged from the bushes. She padded of to him,Wolfkit and Coyotekit,and Jackalkit noticed that her eyes were of a pale blueish gray. She called herself Ghost of Shadowclan and asked who Jackalkit and his brother were. Jackalkit gave her their names. She asked him and Coyotekit to come with her back to her camp. Jackalkit,Wolfkit, and Coyotekit agreed and followed her to a hollow filled with cats. Ghost told them this was the Shadowclan camp. Then, Jackalkit had said," Can I stay here with you? I want to be part of Shadowclan." Ghost agreed and took him,Wolfkit,and Coyotekit to the nursery.

Personality:

Jackalkit is the hero in the story. He is proud, and will take a hit to his ego with a retort that is surely going to mean a punishment, or a lecture if he`s that lucky of course. He always tries to support his friends and family, even if they don`t want his help or encouragement. For an example, Wolfkit openly expresses that he hates it when Jackalkit tries to help him, or encourage him for that matter! Another thing that people don`t appreciate about Jackalkit is that he likes making rude faces at them when they aren`t looking. His favorite face is the' mess with me,I mess with you' look. But Jackalkit rarely acts like that. He only does it when he has either had a bad day, or he just doesn`t like you at all. He is usually rambunctious caring to those he likes, and pesky to Wolfkit. Jackalkit is probably the most spontaneous kit in the history of Shadowclan. That might be an exaggeration to some,but it comes pretty close to the truth! He has a wild imagination,and can think up a lie, or a story in a snap, and he is clever enough to remember a certain lie, or story for later on! But he forgets most of the time and will get in trouble if it`s a lie.

Jackalkit turned to his brother Coyotekit said said,"Where are we? I want Mother!"
Jackalkit sat down on the wet earth and began to look around.
