Jaysong padded out of the forest, a fat vole held gingerly between her jaws. Jaysong's petite white paws took hesitant steps onto the warm stones of Sunningrocks, but when no danger could be scented, the gray tabby bounded forward. The ThunderClan warrior stretched her back luxoriously and dropped her choice of prey onto the comforting stones. SHe was no longer an apprentice, so Jaysong didn't have to take any prey back to the elders before she could eat. The she-cat purred in amusement at that. She thought about all of the stories she had heard from the elders, things like the dog pack, the evil Tigerstar, and the legendary Firestar. But those cats were long gone now.
Jaysong flopped down on her belly and began tearing hungrily into the vole. The morning sunlight kept climbing higher in the sky, causing the rocks to grow warmer, and Jaysong more drowsy. Though she was alone, Jaysong didn't really feel it. Her ice blue pools stared in the direction of camp, picturing the everyday scene: elders complaining of ticks and wet bedding, appprentices rushing around trying to meet their every need. Warriors sharing tongues or bringing fresh-kill in from patrols. Goldstar staring proudly down at the clan from the Highrock.
Soon sunhigh was upon the forest. Greenleaf was such a beautiful season, and Jaysong loved it. The sky was clear and blue, without a cloud in sight. Perhaps there was to be a drought; Jaysong hoped not. There we're enough things that could go wrong. Besides, drought's can cause fires. No Clan wants a fire going through their territory! We'll cross that bridge when we come to it.. the she-cat thought. Jaysong blinked her sleepy irises and dozed off, a purr rumbling deep in her chest.

ooc: just saying. Firestar nor Tigerstar exsisted on this rpg. xP don't worry too, your not the only one who didn't know this at first...o.O back to rping! xD bic:
A lean and tall dark form was padding through the forest, the sun missing his russet colored fur, for he was sticking to the shadows of the trees.
The young warrior was heading deep into the forest to get some well desereved quiet time. He had been stuck in camp all morning, and Pyrestorm didn't even offer him on going with the patrol. Not that Oakstripe much cared, of course he wanted to help the clan with going on border patrols and such, but they got boring after awhile. Nothing much happened during Green-leaf, all the clans had fully stocked prey, and they were much too busy with their own clans than to worry over other rival ones. Kits were being born, new apprentices were being picked for mentoring....
Oakstripe guessed that's how every GreenLeaf was, but he wasn't all too certain, it wasn't writtin in stone, so maybe this New-Leaf was joyful, but the next could be devistating. For example, GreenLeaf's could get pretty hot, and their were droughts to worry about, foxes and badgers, being more hostile towards the clan cats than ever with their new borns and breeding grounds. It was hard work for the cats of the clans to deal with, but those obstacles were there, and would be a threat to the clan no matter what anyone says about it.
The lone feline passed past the lush green forest with alert, yet casual looking green eyes. He wasn't much up for hunting, all he really wanted to do was find a good spot to relax and just lazz off, not having to worry about any new born kits or apprentices to bug him.
Oakstripe slowed down his pace as he scented the air, he was at his destination. Sunning Rocks The popular spot was an exceedingly devine place to sun-bathe, plus, it was right by the RiverClan border, so cats who went their, could patrol and relax at the same time. For Oakstripe, that was pure awesomeness.
The tom's ears twitched as he came through the brush and the smooth sun-warmed stones were revealed to him. His eyes followed toward the whispering stream just a few tail-lengths away from where the rocks ended their slope downwards. He could smell the misty river breeze, and the traces of RiverClan scent that was sent over the ThunderClan border.
Though when his eyes rested on the base of the rocks, he saw a figure. Blinking, Oakstripe squinted, for the sun-rays were strong as he stared across the grey boulders. He recognized Jaysong right away as his eyes got into focus. He noticed she had been hunting, for she had a small vole by her delicate paws. He could also tell she was dozing. hmm, looks like I wasn't the only one who wanted to be here. The tom thought, his face showing amusment as he watched the she-cat's side rise and fall with her short and calm breaths. She seemed to be enjoying herself, maybe too muchly enjoying herself.
The tom's eyes held a glint to him as the gears in his brain started to turn. He had come here, expecting to be left alone, but with Jaysong here, a sweet and rather eye-catching she-cat, what more could he ask for than a fun-filled prank?
His character wouldn't be viewed as the playful kit type, but when push comes to shove, this tom had to go for it. He loved to watch the apprentices pull pranks and tell jokes to the elders, it was quite an experience, to watch the young minds work like they do. With all the experience this tom had, not just in fighting or hunting, he knew a good prank to pull when the time came.
Oakstripe's teeth glisened in the sunlight as a playful grin spread across his features. what can I do to mess with Jaysong? The tom thought, a hop in his step as he made his ways toward the far side of the rocks, where the she-cat couldn't scent or see him, yet His claws scraped the ground as he sat, a habbit he had when he was anxious or excited about something.
He thought over his motives before acting, he wanted to be simple, yet smart about this. He didn't want to scar the she-cat for life, but he did want her to remember whatever he did.
Oakstripe was sure he had the perfect prank, or joke, whatever the apprentices liked to call it. He was rather proud of himself for coming up with such a thing. He was more of the casual, just take it slow and right kinda tom, but like said, he was also very determined to mess with others if the time called for it. And Jaysong had been the exact cat he wanted to pull the prank on, she was a sitting rabbit out there!
Glancing once more over at the still sleeping, or dozing, she-cat, Oakstripe waited until he was sure she was unaware of anything. ha ha, this is so out of character for me...but I'm gonna do it anyway. The warrior thought as he thought over once more his task.
First, the tom bristled out his fur, then, he made his eyes widen into big round moons and unshealted his claws. And with one mightly intake of air, the tom let out a loud yowl of alarm,
"SOMEONE HELP!" he cried, ears flattening back and tail lowering as he appeared petrified as he stared off into the distant forest, the one that stayed near the edge of the flowing stream. He was staring with well acted horror into the darkness, his fur looking like it came from a porkupine and his long squirrel-like tail, lashing franticly behind. jeeze, I hope this works.. The tom thought as he kept comepletely rigid, as if he were glued to the spot.

Jaysong rolled from her white-furred belly onto her gray-tabby back. The she-cat purred even deeper as the sunhigh light penetrated through her fur and warmed her truly to the core. The tabby warrior squinted her ice blue pools against the glare from the pale rocks and dabbed with a delicate white paw at a passing flower petal. Jaysong froze as she heard the sound of claws scrabbling against stone, but when the ThunderClan cat opened her irises completely to look, there was nothing in sight. Probably just some mouse in the cracks of the rock.. Jaysong thought.
The gray tabby warrior rolled back onto her stomach and continued to doze. Nothing had disturbed her nap, and she loved it. The busy cat barely had any time to herself, and when Jaysong woke up this morning to the fresh-kill pile already stocked, all of the warriors out hunting or training, the she-cat decided to take time to have a lazy day. It was not often that a warrior of any Clan had time to just nap and doze. Especially during leafbare; in the coldest season, every warrior and apprentice was always kept busy hunting.
Just as Jaysong was about to slip completely into sleep, a terrified yowl split the air. Caught unawares, the she-cat sprang to her paws, only to realize what a deadly mistake she had made. When Jaysong had rolled back onto her stomach, the ThunderClan cat had rolled nearly to the edge of Sunningrocks. With a caterwaul of fear, Jaysong fell headlong into the river.
Like all cats (other than RiverClan), Jaysong was petrified of water and only ventured into it in times of greatest need. Her instincts kicking in, Jaysong began to paddle with her muscular legs, only to be pushed farther towards the center of the river; farther to the deepest area of the body of water. With a sudden realization borne upon terror, Jaysong found that the current was too strong for her to swim. The greenleaf waves smashed Jaysong against a rock, driving every ounce of oxygen form her lungs.
Greenleaf used to be her favorite season; now Jaysong realized how dangerous it was. Yes, prey was plentiful and the weather beautiful, but the dangers were doubled. Deep, unswimmable rivers, droughts, fires, twolegs. The list went on and on. With the last of her effort, Jaysong took a gulping breath and screeched "HELP!" at the top of her lungs before the strong, black waves closed above her head. [/blockquote]

Hoping to hear the sound of paw-steps heading his way, the dark tom waited, but they didn't come. huh? He wondered as he blinked, his eyes returning to normal and his fur starting to lie flat as he looked over to where he thought Jaysong would be. did she sleep through- He started to wonder, but saw that she was gone.
He turned so he was fully facing the bank to RiverClan, a face full of confusion. "She was just ther-" He started to meow aloud, but was cut off by a harsh screech. He nearly jumped out his fur as he heard the word sketched into the distress call. help
Oakstripe bolted over toward the river, his eyes wide in alertness. Who had made that call? Was it Jaysong? oh....fox-dung The tom thought as he skidded to a halt at the edge nearly. He searched the water's surface, seeing if he could find the cat.
He knew someone had fallen in, and he was pretty sure it had been Jaysong. Great StarClan! He thought, fur bristling with fear as he saw a head bob up out of the water. Just for a mili-second he saw no one other than, Jaysong.
He had to save her! Not thinking at all about what he was doing, the tom lept into the cold waters. The coldness seeped into his long fur like a mop. He wasn't all too kine of the water, but he did know how to swim.
The warrior kept his head above water as best he could, as his powerful back legs kicked against the current. Yellow eyes searching frantically, Oakstripe spotted Jaysong over near the edge. He pumped his back legs and paddled toward her.
Teeth gritting, Oakstripe was almost at her. Taking a deep breath, the tom dived under water and grabbed what he knew was the she-cat's scruff. Heart racing, the tom tugged her roughly toward the bank on ThunderClan's side. He was becoming weaker by the second, but he was going to get her back to the land. This was basically his fault, rule one, when pulling a prank, do it in a safe environment... mouse-brain He thought to himself as he struggled with her weight, being in the water made her ten times as heavy as if she was on land, with all the excess water seeped into her fur and all, plus his long fur didn't help the situation!
