Description:
Innes is a Nebelung cat. He is generally slim and lithe with an angular head. As it is with all Nebelung cats his fur is probably the most distinct part of the species. On the chest and shoulders it has a slightly shaggy look that smooths itself into a silky coat on his sides and back. He has long legs and a long tail and is very agile. He doesn't quite have the slender flowing shape of a pure Nebelung cat since one of his parents was mixed breed. He's more of what you would call lanky, thin and tall. His fur however is an almost exact replica of a pure Nebelung's fur except for it's color. Instead of being the dark blue color it is an ashy silver color. Shiny ash, you'd never notice if he was covered in dust. His eyes are gray too, actually they're technically blue but who notices? Also being mixed breed he lacks the very fluffy tail that is normally associated with his breed.Picture: www.catconnect.com/images/Portrait/Nebelung1.jpg
History // Past:
::Fork in the Road::Personality:
The silvery ash colored kitten wasn't born as Inkit, he was born as Innes. That was the name his mother gave him. His mother was a loner who lived on the moors. His father was a pure clan cat. From the moment he could understand such things, he had caused tension between his parents. The clan, or the loner's life? He had to choose it while he was still little or he might never adjust. In the end Innes chose to follow his father's path. When he was nearly five moons old, Innes discarded his mother's way of life and followed his father Sandfur back to WindClan. He never saw his mother again...nor did he ever accept anyone who tried to take her place.
::Innes' New Life::
Innes' one hardship as a kitten was his name. No one could pronounce it right! There were so many ways they said it poor Innes' head was spinning. Some guesses were: In-iss, In-eez, E-nis, E-Nehz, -In-ez ect. Those were the good guesses, the kits just gave up and called him Innies. That was infurating. His mother had always said it like E(long E)-ness so he accepted either that or In-iss which is how it's offically suppose to sound but mothers can make their son's names sound however they like. So needless to say poor little Innes was driven mad in his kithood by people who couldn't say his name.
::Apprentice Days::
No doubt the WindClan leader felt a little uneasy through Innes' naming ceremony. What could be said? There was no apprentice name that even resembled Innes, it'll take a ridiculously creative mind to think up something like that. Not to mention the fact that the silver-ash furred apprentice wouldn't go by any other name. During his apprentice days Innes' had no trouble acing his assessments. While he was quite prideful and impertinent, he was also very talented. That made it pretty hard for anyone to dis him. It was around this time that Innes developed the thing he is known for: Insight. He had studied reactions for quite some time by watching and guessing someone's next reaction. He was now fluent in reading body language and foreshadows.
::Warrior's Life::
Innes' was judged as an impertinent but talented apprentice before, now he's judged as an impertinent be talented warrior. He never ever saw his mother again but he's forgot her and won't ever. These days he has routine schedule but in his free time his thoughts are his own
Let's take a trip into Innes' mind. The first impression almost anyone who's ever talked to Innes is that he is impertinent, blunt and very prideful. He won't hesitate to say something incredibly heartless or mean to someone if no one else has the guts to point it out. Innes also has extreme confidence, no he doesn't go around underestimating everyone he sees. He can stay calm under difficult circumstances and takes things rationally. That comes to his most important skill: Insight. He's a very difficult cat to lie to, by observing body language, a flicker of the eyes, a shifting of paws, just one out of place movement will give him some idea of what you're thinking. Some cats think that Innes is just a jerk most of the time but he has his moments. Stoic silence, instead of cooing and pouring sympathy like some other cats do to try and comfort someone he's willing to just sit by them as weather out the storm. Inside of his confident, prideful, diamond hard shell Innes has his own problems to deal with. On occasions his mind is in a tug of war with itself: Pride vs. General Niceness. Sad to say that the ratio of winnings is usually 3:1, but Innes just wouldn't be himself if he were nice all the time. Push past the dark storm of tug of war and you'll plunge deeper into the problems shoved into the back of his mind. His arrogant pride, some might call it a guise, but he calls it a crutch. While Innes does like to brag and show off he does have to lean on his talent. It doesn't propell him like you'd think, it's a kind of shield against things that he wouldn't speak out of, his own feelings perhaps? Now it's time for you to leave, go too far and learn too much and Innes' won't be too happy with you.Role Playing Example:
"What's your name?" an eccentric brown kitten asked eagerly. The silvery-ash furred kitten answered in a firm voice, "Innes." "Innies? What kind of name is that?!" Innes flattened his ears, "No not Innies, E-nis or In-iss, I'll take either one." The brown kitten thought for a while then tried again, "Innies?" Innes bared his teeth, "Are all kittens as stupid as you or did you take special charm lessons?" The brown kitten immeditely bolted to his mother wailing, "Innies is being mean to me!" at the top of his lungsTheme Song: Over and Over
