Charredstar stalked over the moor, Rushinghawk to his left grumbling about something or other, and Ridgepaw to his right, eyes cast to the ground, thinking about starclan knows what. Once again Charredstar was intruiged by the young apprentice. He had the looks of swift warrior, his muscles already lean, and his eyes burned with intensity. The only flaw he could see was the young apprentice's horrible attitude; almost rougish. Unfortunately, that one trait corrupted all of the rest; it needed to be removed. He'd need a real patient mentor to whip him into shape, charredstar almost grimaced at the thought of doing it himself. Just then he scented rabbit, his instincts almost caused him to bolt for the wagging tail, but he hid his expression, instead turning to ridgepaw slightly to see if he would pick it up.

Rushinghawk padded beside Charredstar, some tail-lengths away, keeping silent. He and Charredstar seemed to be on bad notes; but what had he done?
I guess Charredstar doesn't like me to much... The brown tabby thought absently as he stared down at his feet, not much paying attention to anything around him.
His ears prickled slightly as he scented the smell o rabbit not too far off. He glanced up and saw the grey-haired creature, not moving at first, as he saw that Charredstar had not moved as well.
Eyes then looking over to Ridgepaw, the warrior wondered if Ridgepaw would have a go at it. Like, it would be good practice for the little apprentice. Suddenly Rushinghawk stepped on something rather sharp on the grassy ground. Biting his lower lip,and holding back a squeak of pain, Rushinghawk recoiled back slightly, the paw he had hurt held above the ground.
what the mouse was that? He wondered as he looked at his paw, sitting down. It was a small pebble. Grumbling slightly, the warrior shook it away and licked his now stinging pad.

Nearby a brown streaked tabby slinked around the brush, seeming to ripple like a stream as he wasted no time slipping beneath or threw prickly branches. In the sky wind thrashed about, the sensitivity of his ears picked up the howling sound amongst the forests trees far off. It seem that the land lay untouched for the moment though and there was no sign of the disturbance in the sky. Orbs to match the stun flashed up, there were no birds or clouds in view. His heard an audible wince over the right of his shoulder.
Somehow he was painfully aware that this would be from Rushinghawk, a dark look in that direction was confirming. The burly colored warrior was licking his ‘wound’. Tail slapping the air in annoyance Ridgepaw felt his paws burn to slip away. He didn’t want to be around a cat like this, he didn’t want to feel like Charredstar was watching his back. Slinking low, his moved quietly backwards eyes fixed ahead then turned and, pressing himself low attempted to move off, as it happened in the direction of the rabbit.

Timeshadow was wandering near by, he has gotten bored of sitting around camp and walking around wasn't any better. He knew this territory better then the back of his paw since he didn't see the point in staring at a paw all day. He had caught a rabbit but taht was the end of it. Needless to say this sent the moody cat in to an extra annoyed state. He scented cats near by, Charredstar, Rushinghawk and...an apprentice. He never could remember which apprentice went to which scent but he didn't care.

Rushinghawk blinked as he saw another cat in the distance. He had to squint a tad, but finally saw that it was Timeshadow. Smiling slightly at his fellow warrior, the silly tom waved his tail in hello to Timeshadow.
Then his green eyes flashed towards a moving Ridgepaw, who he saw stalking off towards the rabbit. He wondered why Ridgepaw looked so...uh, put out all he could think of.
poor little dude, he needs to lighten up. Rushinghawk thought as he put his paw down, it not stinging anymore. He stayed silent and still as the apprentice stalked the rabbit, eyes now followng where the rabbit would go.
Stomach growling abit, Rushinghawk wished he could just have something to eat now..

For once, it looked like things were working in Ridgepaws favor. Beneath the stems and twig shadows his pelt rippled. Each step was soft, so not to alarm the others and, since the hadn’t called out or anything, his pace advanced to a trot. On the wind some new sent seeped over, a mix of cat and rabbit. Given the choice I’d prefer to leave both alone. This was when the tom realized the brush grew together to tightly here and he’d have to go on or go back, there were no convenient side paths available. Large ears folded back over themselves. This was turning out to be the kind of day one couldn’t escape.
Ahead something rustled the grass. Yellow orbs flashed, homing in on a single ear stuck out from behind a thicket of thin green stems. Ridgepaw tensed momentarily then relaxed and tucked his back paws closer where he crouched. Might as well go get it. I’ll be spotted by that other warrior anyway if I try to slip by the grass fronds. No sound was made as the apprentice got back off and moved, more openly then other cats would, to the edge of the briar patch.
Beyond his paws sunlight dripped down, coiling as it would in various dusts kicked up by other creatures. Ridgepaw watched the spot he’d last spotted the hare, unmoving an unblinking he waited, a small glimmer of patents showing itself. Quick, like slippery fish he made forward for several tail lengths then ducked down again. On it’s hind paws the fluffy looking rabbit munched a root and returned to the ground. Though his hunting stance was completely off, his managed to slip forward again undetected. To any one watching it was clear Ridgepaw had never received any real training in this area, and yet he’d gotten so close now.
This is it. With a single thought he let his paws fly. In a whirl of thudding noise and snaps his fangs bared down on his preys gray back. With dull nipping teeth the hare returned the favor and drew blood from his legs. Hissing, he squinted and leaped back. No fool, the rabbit was running and a snarl could be heard as Ridgepaw made after it. Even wounded his quarry was fast. It darted across the land on small hidden trails with Ridgepaws eyes and paws right on it’s tail. In an instant it stumbled and again his claws sunk beneath it’s downy fur and he killed it swiftly.

Charredstar actually purred with amusement watching the young apprentice stalk the rabbit. he let his feelings go among is own clan often enough, but he still didn't purr often. He read Ridgepaw every step like only a leader could. His movements were jerky, angry. He was only managing to get close because of his actual insticts, which were rather impressive; but not dispcline. "Good, for your first try. You have plenty of potential, but you still need work" He meowed thoughtfully. As he finished, he saw yet another rabbit, just as plump streak along behind him, he whipped around and lashed out, catching the rabbit in the back leg. It twisted mid air and crumpled to the ground, scrambling to get up. By the time it finished getting to its feet, it had charredstars teeth clamped around it's neck. With a sickening snap, he wrenched, and the rabbit fell to the ground in front of him, sprawled neatly.

Rushinghawk watched as Ridgepaw caught the rabbit, alittle wobably at first, but then finished it swiftly. He smiled goofily at the apprentices luck, it took him atleast... six trys to even be able to grab a rabbit while running... He was a better runner than snatcher upper. ha!
He moved so he could get a better view of where Ridgepaw went, and then heard Charredstar catching some prey. yikes! He thought as he heard the snap of the rabbit's neck breaking.
Pausing to look back at Charredstar's catch, he glanced back at Ridgepaw. Now he was the only cat to not catch anything. Well...? Go catch something! His inner voice told him. He blinked and looked at Charredstar, catching his leader's gaze, he quickly turned back around and stalked into a bush, in hopes of scenting something to catch. "I'll catch something." He called back, being completely dumb and not staying quiet while hunting, one of the number one rules when starting a hunt. But of course, Rushinghawk wasn't the brightest and forgot easily.
His tail disappeard into the brush as he scented the air, almost pokeing one of his eyes out when he ran into a thorn bush. Grumbling slightly, the tom backed out and shook the prickly thornws off his face. okay...let's see..I scent...gah...I don't smell any- oh wait! Is that a rabbit I smell? He wondered as he paused on instinct when he heard a soft sound from a cherry bush.
ah ha! He thought as he saw the flash of grey fur. Bolting off after the small rabbit, Rushinghawk was hot on it's tail, or stub of a tail.
come here you little rabbit! He thought, as he sped around the badgers' set. His face turned from happy to aggrivated as the small rabbit seemed to be out-running him. The rabbit was leading him farer and farer out; away from the others.
The warrior kept his gaze focused on the rabbit's white tail as he went faster and faster, until suddenly, he ran into something warm and rough.
{omg, can we make this fun? that thing he runs into is gonna be a badger, kayz? lmao}
Stopping completely in his tracks, Rushinghawk was pushed backwards onto his side. "gah!" He grunted as he rolled acouple times. Blinking quickly, the tom realized he had run into something rather big....
and tall.......and.......-
Growling.
Eyes now focused exactly what he ran into, Rushinghawk's face turned from pain from the fall, to utter shock. It was a badger. "uh....uhh uh...-" He studderd as he stared into the eyes of the huge creature, it was about six times his size and looked very menacing.
Not being able to hold in his scream, the poor warrior let out a very loud yowl, "BADGER!!!!" His claws unsheltered as he scramlbled up and started backing away from it, tail low and ears laid back.
why today?? Rushinghawk thought fearfully as he frantically tried to run, but was too scared. He had only met a badger once in his life, when he was just a kit! But now was the second time!
The badger let out another low growl and stepped slowly towards the cat, in a defencive position.

charredstar dashed in from behind and landed on the badgers massive head. With lightning speed he slashed at the beast eye, feeling blood soak his paw he grunted in satisfaction and bolted under the badgers belly, raking his claws along its side on his way. The beat wailed in pain, and as Charredstar turned to look with a smirk, he saw a huge clawed paw swinging in from the side, He ducked, but it caught him on the his own flank, and send him flying a good five taillengths, the ai knocked out of him. Charredstar jumped to his paws, gasping in pain, as his side heaved with the effort of breathing, blood slicking his fur. He still managed to taunt the badger, leading it so that its flank was wide open for Rushinghawk. "Dont just stand there, attack for starclans sakes!" Charred star hissed, feeling more then seeing the massive paw miss him by a hairlength.

Placed away distant on the moor Ridgepaw had collected his catch and on heavy steppes was returning slowly. Stones and twigs kept getting beneath him so his progress was filled with stumbling. The limp rabbits fur blocked his vision. Darn thing. It was a pain in life and it still is in death! Though he couldn’t see his ankle where the rodents teeth had cut in, Ridgepaw knew it was still bleeding. He could here his breath in his own ears and with a snort dropped his catch.
Sitting back he winced upon seeing the bite, no more then a claw length long but deep. With ginger inspection he licked it and began to work at cleaning it though he was aware this would take him quite a while. It was strange, like spider webs pulling at his fur, Ridgepaw just felt something was wrong. Stopping he eyed the moors suspiciously. And just where are my partners. I’d be only too lucky if they turned out to have abandoned me. Despite wanting to go back to his earlier task Ridgepaws fur was on end and with a frown and a grunt he got up and trotted back to his company.
Nose close to the ground and tail wavering back and forth like a dogs, Ridgepaw found when he’d reached there earlier spot he was alone. Doubtful, he leaped into a run and headed off in the two warriors direction. It didn’t take long to learn his instincts were correct. On a flattened spot of land he watched Charredstar get winded.
Hackles drew back from his fangs as the sent washed over him. Normally he would have no idea what it was but for the fact the looming beast stood only a few fox lengths away. Claws fully unsheathed, he darted to Rushinghawks side, staying low on his paws as he came next to the tom. What do we do? He practically growled at the warrior. Ahead time was running out, the badger wasn’t idle from it’s wounds and made a charge at Charredstar. Despite his urge to help, Ridgepaw knew nothing of what to do in battle and remained frozen where he was.

Shaking a tad now, Rushinghawk watched as Charredstar came out from behind the huge beast, watching in amazment and fright as Charredstar slashed at it's eyes.
Jumping back as Charredstar was swept off his feet by the badger's massive paw, Rushinghawk dodged to the right as the creature started to swing at him.
Dont just stand there, attack for starclans sakes!'
Literally having to shake his head to actually hear what Charredstar said, the dark brown tabby saw that the badger's flank was exposed for him to attack. But something was keeping him from attacking.
Suddenly Ridgepaw appeared. He stared at the apprentice momently, hearing what the tom said. Do? Run is what'd I do! He thought, eyes turning back to th badger as it started toward Charredstar again.
But Rushinghawk had to help someway! Charredstar was hurt, and if that badger took one of his lifes...well, who's fault would it be? His! Since, not that it was Ridgepaw's fault, but the apprentice didn't know how to fight! He didn't even have a mentor yet!
The dark tabby had to think quick. Seeing that the badger's flank was still exposed to him, he decided on what to do. "uh. Attack it's flank! I'll distract him!" He hissed, mostly in the pure heat of the situation.
Running ahead of the badger, Rushinghawk came infront of Charredstar and dodged as the massive paw came to strike him. atleast my reflexes are working! The tom thought as he hissed at the badger and lunged out, clawing it's nose slightly.
He jumped as the badger let out a massive howl of anger and pain, seeing him atleast stagger back slightly. Now was Ridgepaw's chance! "Co-Come on you big fox-dung!" He meowed mockingly to the beast, luring it away from Charredstar, as it still kept it's gaze focused on Rushinghawk.

Wait! Ridgepaw hissed as Rushinghawk leaped forward. He saw the toms tail swivel as he came in front of the badger, between it and Charredstar. Under normal conditions Ridgepaw would have found it rather funny, Charredstar was a great fighter he knew yet Rushinghawk sought to protect him? These weren’t normal conditions though and realization hit hard. You want me to attack! He yowled, yellow eyes wide as he staired desperately after Rushinghawk. For a moment Ridgepaw felt he wouldn’t move, his paws were like lead, pinning him in place and his heart! His heart beat as if it wanted to break free from his chest and run for itself.
He tore his gaze back on the badger. The striped beast was massive, it’s fat clawed feet flailing but not at him. He glimpsed the monsters dripping pointed teeth and shuddered back. Now his fur stood on end shaking and he curled low into a ball, something a kit might have done, eyes never leaving the attack. Then his face bent and he closed his eyes from the scene were he crouched. Coward Ridgepaw grasped in short terrified breaths. Coward. You didn’t save your family and now your just going to lay here. Your no better then those fat warriors! A claw bit into the top of his head. He could still see that day so perfectly in his mind!
A snout long and red like blood. Black nose hungrily searching out he and his sisters. Snapping and light as the nursery roof fell apart, everything was a whirl of color as a paw caught him and sent him tumbling away. Knocked silly he saw, saw Shorekits face. She was so scared and off to his side Wavekit lay still. Then he was stumbling out when warriors paws stomped over him and crushed his sides. His mothers wild eyes as she charged after her stolen daughter. Still he could here his words, screaming for others to go after her. But the warriors were to stupid and they didn't go and both mother and daughter died. .
Blood trickled past Ridgepaws vision, he’d hurt himself in the memory. I am not like that! The light was bright as his head snapped up, eyes defiant behind his snarl. With that Ridgepaw was back on his feet and moving. He hadn’t heard Rushinghaws taunts but stole forward, claws unsheathed near the withering beasts back. Up the tom leaped, curving in the air and dropping back onto dark course fur. Stench blew from it’s skin with each movement. Hooking in little black claws in it's flesh he crawled up the broad back and upon it’s head. The badger felt his presents and thrashed it’s shoulders, desperately Ridgepaw grasped its ear between his jaws.
In a final shake Ridgepaws claws slipped and his feet flew off leavening him dangling above the ground held only by his mouth. Ridgepaw felt certain he’d be badly hurt or killed if he felt. Tired muscles slackened. not yet Ripping his paws up he sought leverage in the beasts face with his claws and took some of the weight off his jaws.

She was bored, so she decided to go hunting. Ok so technically she couldn't hunt and her small paws were a liability. Still, she figured that she would find some warriors out there and maybe they could, feed her? After all she was practically useless and since she had yet to be assigned a mentor she really didn't have anyone to teach her so was that really her fault?
A scream wrenched her out of her thoughts and she swiveled her ears to pinpoint the sound. The voice was screaming out badger and suddenly she was moving toward the sound carefully as to not trip over her own too small paws. Honestly why was she even in Windclan if she could barely move faster than a walk without falling over herself.
When she reached the spot she was shocked to see three toms battling a huge badger, just huge. Her leader, Charredstar was attacking its face and a young apprentice, um was it Ridgepaw and another warrior, Rushinghawk? were battling it as well. She felt as if she should do something, but what? She didn't know how to fight.
She saw Ridgepaw slip and saw that he was barely holding on, she had to do something! She walked toward the badger and leapt at it awkwardly, landing on its back, she was shocked, near Ridgepaw.
"Need any help?" she asked calmly digging her own claws deep into the badger's back and holding on for dear life.
((Ok she's sort of a freak))

Tightly Rigepaws eyes were closed. Where are the others? His limps were searing with pain, already he was exhausted and shaking from holding on. The brut was pure muscle and almost all of it was directed to flinging off the little mite clinging to it's face. The toms muscles sagged, breath was coming hard and fast threw his nose but he felt in need of air, like he was drowning. Some dark shadow passed before his face. He opened his eyes, hoping to see Charredstar or even Rushinghawk here to help.
Anguishedpaw would not have been his first choice in saviors. Nearly stunned into letting go Rigepaw made a muffled gasp and nearly slipped. Hind legs found some degree of purchase, with a great shove he pushed up and onto the badgers shoulders. Ridgepaws breath was ragged his hackles pulled back as he remembered Anguishedpaw. Do something or get out of here! He growled, limbs shaking from the pain of holding himself up.
Unable to tell if the brut was tiring, Ridgepaw tried to remember anything in fighting he'd heard. Something came vaguely back. The eyes. Balancing precariously, he again made back for the head. It was to unsteady to know if what he tore at was an eyes but Ridgepaw hooked his claws over the beasts head an into it's face. It left him with only three paws to cling with though, his tail flew wildly to maintain balance. This wasn't going to last. Do something! He hissed. The words were meant for the two cats that knew how to fight though they rather sounded directed at Anguishedpaw.

((I should wait but I am really bored and I have to RESPOND))
Anguishedpaw looked calmly at the tom below her.
Do something! he shouted. It sounded like it was directed at her and she knew that she would have to do something. It seemed that Ridgepaw was avoiding her help and she knew that he would rather have anyone but her helping him but she had no choice.
Ok, so if I wanted to harm it what would I do. It occurred to her as she was standing atop the badger that perhaps digging her teeth into the badger's neck would be a good idea. She leaned forward, keeping herself securely tightened onto the badger's back and dug her teeth sharply into the badger's thick hide. Blaagh tasted horrible, like dirty fur and the nasty tasting blood was filling her mouth, choking her. She had to swallow or drown on it so wincing she swallowed, her eyes watering from the taste.
The badger writhed under her and all around her the battle raged on. She was ignoring it though, focused sorely on the task at hand, which was apparently trying to kill a badger and she didn't really know if she was helping but surely the blood it was losing could hurt the mission, could it? She lifted tore her claws out of the animals body and began to rake them down it's spine, tearing it open and feeding the ground with even more blood.
Thump-thump-thump...no not that noise, that bloody awful noise again...
